ASICS are made for a specific algo. This model is for SHA-256 algo. You can mine coins that use SHA-256 algo and are minable. I’m not an expert, but I know for sure that you can mine at least bitcoin and bitcoin cash with it.

Double the power consumption for less than the hashrate of an S9.
You’d need more than three of these hot, noisy bastards to equal the hashrate of an S9. Three more power supplies too. Just to save $500 on equipment costs?
